Concerns the price of the paper, to be set at five pence, and the reasons it was not disclosed in the first edition because the committee were busy sowing crops and repairing roads. States that when the committee reconvenes they will arrange for the suggested price to be voted upon by each of the tribal groups in the central North Island who are receiving the paper and they will allow three months for this.

Discusses meeting concerning the forming of a committee for Te Wananga. Reports that several people were elected to the committee including Henry Brown to assist Hēnare Tōmoana, Mohi Mangakāhia and Mita Hikairo as committee members, and that Tōmoana suggested that £200 be laid down in the meeting house as working funds for Te Wananga.
