           Te Aute lands.             I

IN  consequence of the continued TRESPASS    by  
   persons with Dogs and Guns in pursuit of Game
and Pigs on the lands at Te Aute, in the occupation '
or under the charge of the undersigned, it is hereby
notified that persons have been specially appointed :
to watch and  all offenders will be rigorously pro-
secuted.

taua whenua  ia ratou.

                 NOTICE.
 GREAT   trouble having been occasioned by Natives
    and others LEAVING    OPEN   the GATES   of
 the enclosures at Te. Aute under lease to the under-
 signed, it is notified that, the person in charge has
 received orders to report any  person  so offending,
 with the view  of summoning  him for trespass and

   In future no persons will be permitted to HUNT
 PIGS  on any land in MR RUSSELL'S  occupation with
 out the presence or express permission on each occa
 sion of Mr. KENNEDY, the Overseer at Te Aute, and
 all DOGS   found trespassing will be destroyed.
    Sheep  have   been  killed several times  lately,
 Mr. RUSSELL  is resolved to put an end to the  con-
. tinued trespass, and he hopes all Natives  will take
- warning not to inake themselves liable to the conse-
 quences.
